Seize the Cupcake!

Gotta love the Cupcake Set from Hero Arts. This is one of the three projects from last month's Creation Station*.

The layout was inspired by one of the Mojo Monday sketches over at Poetic Artistry. (Every Monday, Julee posts a new sketch and always has great samples. . . you just gotta check it out!)

*The Creation Station is fairly new at the Cupboard. Every month, three projects are available for you to stop by and create any time during regular business hours.

The new projects are now up and will be available through April 16th (or while supplies last, whichever comes first). See you at the Creation Station!

This is a personal question . . .

. . .don't you think?YIPEE! More Inkadinkado stamps have arrived! Click here to see what's new!

Live in the Moment

Here's a card that I came up with while just playing in the craft room:
I used the Nature's Moments set by Tim Holtz and Garden Flower set by Inkadinkado.
I used Brilliance Pearlescent Ice Blue ink and stamped the dandelion down the left side of the card (which is Iced Teal Prism Cardstock).
On a cream panel, I randomly stamped the dandelion using the same ink and then the text and butterfly (or is that a moth?) using Night Sky Versamagic ink.
Added three crystal center brads, mounted that onto a Stormy Dark panel (also by Prism), tore the bottom edge and adhered it to the card.
Pretty quick and easy!

eeeeeeee!!!

(that would be a squeal of delight!)

The NEW Tim Holtz stamps are here!!

Ready? GO!

Happy Butterflies

Here's a card I made over the weekend . . .after spending quite a bit of time clearing off my craft table. Whew! It was way out of control. . . it was so cluttered that when I picked up an ink pad, something would fall off the table!
Happy Butterflies stamp by Magenta stamped in Spanish Olive VersaMagic Ink on cream cardstock. I used PrismaColor pencils to do some shading. I blended a little bit of Antique Linen Distress ink for the background behind the butterflies and edged the cardstock with Cornucopia VersaMagic ink.
I then mounted the butterflies onto a light green panel. Added Swirl Organdy ribbon to another cream panel and mounted the butterflies onto that and then onto a yellow card. The dots along the edge are Gold Liquid Pearls.
And one final detail that that picture doesn't show at all are the wings of the center butterfly. . .I used a craft knife to cut around them and used foam tape to pop them up a bit.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope to have more projects to post during the week now that my table is cleared off and I have a spot to work.
I'm currently working on a journal page. Julie posted a great tutorial on her blog. . . it's a five part tutorial and she has some great tips in there. Be sure to check it out!
