Once upon a time, a few weeks ago, I was catching up on my feed reader. I came across a post from Cheryl where she had used the Goth Girls from Stampotique.
"Oh my goodness," I thought to myself, "I have some of those. I must use them."
The wheels started turning . . . and then I saw a trailer for Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland". . . and I thought, "What if Alice wasn't so sweet?"
This is what happened:What I used:

Word stamps by Sweet Pea Stamps
Background stamps by Tim Holtz
Tuxedo Black Memento ink
White Simply Smooth, Gray, White, and Black cardstock by Prism

Remember that Card?
"You know . . . the one that had . . . well, I'd know it if I saw it."
Ugh! That happens to me all the time. And I figured, I can't be the only one who has that conversation with myself. . . . so, I've created a new (sort of) Gallery where you can see all the cards/projects posted here on the blog without all the jibber-jabber that goes with it.
Click here to check out the Gallery. (and there's a link in the sidebar for your convenience, too.)
AND, did you notice? You can now search this blog! Ta-da!
I'm going back into my studio now . . . I've got more stuff to make with all the new goods that have been arriving!
Hope you have an artful day and thanks for visiting!

Paper Flowers
I've been seeing these paper flowers a lot lately and I just love them! They can be used for just about anything . . .scrapbooking, mixed media, cards . . .Click here to see the tutorial on Mercy's blog.
When I made my flowers, I used Nesties instead of a scallop punch and instead of using cardstock, I used pages from an old book and sheet music.
For the blue flower, I inked the pages with Broken China Distress Ink and used the Pinking Circles Nestabilities.
For the flower next to the blue one, I used the Peony Nestabilities and then sprayed it with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz, which is a must have . . .adds sparkle without altering the color. I used a smaller Peony die for the small music sheet flower.
For the orange flower, I used the Dahlia Nestabilities and sprayed it with Gingersnap Smooch Spritz. I used a smaller Dahlia die for the other small flower.
A couple of tips for you . . . using lighter weight paper was easier and I also found that it made for a very nice crumply, ruffly flower. Besides that, I was able to cut all 10 pieces out at one time.
Also, I used a paper piercer and put the brad in prior to crumpling each layer. I just couldn't see myself trying to put it all back together after all the crumpling . . .
Thanks for stopping by today! Now . . . go make some flowers!
