Another Ocean Critter

Ahem . . . told ya I like the ocean themed stamps from Impression Obsession. And this one . . .well, I'm quite fond of it because both my hubby and I are Cancerians. (I know, I know . . . Cancers technically aren't supposed to be compatible at all, but for whatever reason we are and I am blessed to have such a wonderful hubby.)

On to the card:

What I used:

Ocean Crab from Impression Obsession

Wavy Border from Impression Obsession (By the Seaside clear set)

Onyx Black VersaFine ink

Summer Sky Memento ink

Brilliant White, Classic Red and Nautical Blue Light Cardstock by Prism

Silver Liquid Pearls

PrismaColor Colored Pencils: Tuscan Red, Scarlet Lake, Poppy Red, Spanish Orange, Non-Photo Blue, Blue Lake, and White

No special "How to" . . . just stamp and color . .. and embellish the "bubbles" with Liquid Pearls.

Thanks for visiting today!

Shimmery Starfish

I gotta tell ya . . . I'm really liking the new stamps from Impression Obsession. Especially the ocean themed images. See? Here's a card using the new Ocean Starfish:

What I used:

Stamps by Impression Obsession

VersaMark ink

Shimmering Chalks

Brilliant White, Blush Red Medium and Dark, Nautical Blue Light cardstock by Prism

Clear Glaze Pen

Giga Circle Punch

Meshy ribbon stuff is by May Arts

How to:

Stamp Ocean Starfish using VersaMark on White Cardstock

Apply Coral chalk to starfish and light blue chalk to frame (I used a pouncing motion so the image wouldn't smear since the ink was still wet. Once the ink was dry, I used the pom pom that comes with the chalk set to wipe off excess chalk)

On the card, I randomly stamped the frame from the By the Seaside Clear set using VersaMark ink.

I applied the Clear Glaze Pen to the "bubbles" on the card and the frame around the Starfish for a little bit of dimension.

Super quick and easy!

Thanks for stopping by!

Cuttlebug Embossing Folder

Created a mask by stamping the film strip first on cardstock and on a piece of scrap paper (text weight works best for me). From the scrap paper, I cut out the 'windows' using a craft knife; placed the mask over the original film strip image and stamped Sprout at various angles inside the 'windows'
